There are a few of these gems available now, because I have collected a number of rare stones during the period of time when I wasn’t listing any new pieces, so a number of these rare gems have come my way, which usually doesn’t happen too often.

The play of color is absolutely fascinating in a way that makes you feel like this gemstone has not come from this earth.

Blue glowing base tone with electrifying intense flashes of rainbow colors dispersed evenly as dots of concentrated lights - it is purely magical when it is observed in motion and interacting with the lighting environment around it.

Different design elements such as FloraI shaped and geometric connectors are available as an option. A Celtic trifecta symbol that is placed over the opal makes one lovely design variation and is shown as an example for a design option that can be used for ANY pendant offered at my shop.

There are a few colored opals that are available on the market, and I assure you that this is not one of those, which is easy to determine.

▪️Each 925 sterling silver pendant setting is rhodium or white gold plated over silver to protect the surface underneath from tarnishing and from micro scratches occurring during wear and tear.
14k white gold (as well as 14K yellow/rose gold) is often used instead of rhodium for the same purpose of preserving that beautiful luster of polished new silver jewelry, for changing the color of the metal finish or oftentimes - both.
Rhodium is a precious metal with the color similar to the white gold. Both metals are used interchangeably to coat the silver, so it’s hard to say if the silver is plated with white gold or rhodium. Only overtime it will be apparent, because rhodium will not peel off and will preserve the silver longer.
▪️Rhodium plating offers a very significant advantage over the non-plated 925 sterling silver, so the necklace is going to look its best with minimum effort and without the need for a regular cleaning for years to come.

▪️I put as much time, effort and care into creating each made to order piece of jewelry as is necessary to bring it to the achievable perfection. Each item is made to only to order, and it usually takes 1-2 weeks to fulfill most orders;
▪️MAXIMUM processing time is set for 4 weeks due to occasional circumstances that are out of my control;
▪️I don’t have solid gold inventory, so I have to have extra time for ordering settings for ALL solid gold orders and I also might need to reorder some silver settings as well;

▪️Even making a video does not provide a solution to this problem, because of the exposure related artifacts that either dampen all colors and the opal’s natural vibrancy or exaggerate these qualities in other cases. This happens whenever camera settings cannot readjust fast enough to capture fast changes in color brightness that inevitably result from continuous movement. This particularly affects white opals of the highest quality grade that look overexposed and colorless: they only show bright white color with little to no visible fire - nothing can be more different from real life;
