  1. Any “MADE TO ORDER” item is not eligible for a return in the absence of a valid reason, such as a defect present before item has been shipped to a buyer, a mistake with fulfilling a buyer’s order that occurred due to my mistake etc.,

“Made to order” items require a significant amount of time, energy and materials to be used to make it, so returning such jewelry should not be treated with disregard for a seller’s time or effort, which are also valuable resources and at least should require a compensation, which is a mandatory 35% fee, which will be with held from the total refund amount in case a return request gets accepted. _____________________________________________________

  1. RETURNS MADE FOR ANY SUBJECTIVE REASON SUCH AS BUYER'S REMORSE, FINDING A BETTER PRICE FOR A SIMILAR ITEM, A RETURNED BIRTHDAY PRESENT OR “NOT MEETING ONE’S  EXPECTATIONS”

In nearly every situation when a return is requested due to not meeting someone’s expectations, it turns out that these expectations were vaguely based on subjective assumptions of an imagined or subjectively perceived appearance of a purchased item, and what it is going to look like. And this assumed image usually directly CONTRADICTS the information provided in the listing description, item photos, especially the “linked photos”, which typically represent quality based optional choices selected by a buyer. It is easy to make a mistake with ordering something that you are not going to be happy with if a buyer chooses to ignore the information provided specifically for the purpose of preventing mistakes like that. The information available to buyers which helps to understand the unique properties of each gemstone, its variations and whether a buyer really wants a specific item based on what it is going to look like in real life. This look can be very different from the listing images and might very well seem disappointing to an uninformed customer.__________________________________________________ Black fire opal gemstone is often misunderstood especially by first time buyers, who expect it to look exactly like the photos from the listing and this is impossible, because the black opal’s Fire is not revealed in its full potential unless it is placed under the direct light source. Any black opal is going to look BLACK first, and then show the colors, which are revealed as a continuous process that can be observed during movement but not captured on a still photograph. This does not mean that the opal is of low quality - I had to explain this issue quite a few times, so I would like to elaborate on this as much as I can, so it is no longer considered problematic. ____________________________________________________________________ BUYERS’ EXPECTATIONS SHOULD BE REALISTIC AND BASED ON THE ACTUAL INFORMATION PROVIDED IN EVERY ITEM DESCRIPTION, BLOG ARTICLES and in the FAQ section. It is expected from every potential buyer to read the important information about the unique properties of the natural opal and what to expect from this gemstone when you receive your item. Other gemstones are much more predictable and require minimum instructions, but since I sell primarily natural opal jewelry, it is crucial for me to provide as much information as possible for all potential buyers to guide them in selecting the opal which they will be happy with. HOW TO AVOID SITUATIONS WHEN AN ITEM DOES NOT MEET BUYER’S EXPECTATIONS:__________________________ Gemstones like natural opal, have certain NATURAL PHYSICAL PROPERTIES preventing adequate and reliably accurate capture and representation of each individual stone through the use of the best available on the market amateur digital photo and video equipment. It is impossible to provide accurate photos and videos of natural opal due to its extreme changes in brightness, intensity of the colors, fire visibility etc., depending on the lighting environment. So, I am trying to bring it to the buyers’ attention that they will not receive an opal that would look like the photos in the listing even if the photos were taken of the actual opal, and they should be prepared to see a significant difference between the appearance of the item they purchased as seen in the listing images compared to what it looks like in real life. This is a normal behavior for a natural opal to look different under a different light setting. The look seen in the images from the listing can be easily achieved by placing the item under the direct strong light source, so this difference is not absolute - it is only a temporary variation of what an opal looks like depending upon the lighting environment. The same opal will continue to look different with every slight movement or change in the light angle, so this presents an immense difficulty in accuracy of the item description and representation, which has been my number one problem since I opened the shop and realized this myself. I spent countless hours trying to find a solution and a lot of money was spent on various photo equipment, but the issue remains unresolved. Now I do my best to inform my potential customers of the tricky properties of the gemstones I work with, and hope that it will be clear why you should NOT expect your purchased item to look exactly like the listing images. And if your expectations are based on a single photo out of the 10 images provided in each listing, then your assumption is simply unrealistic and should be looked at accordingly. ________________________________🔸THE MOISSANITE MAY LOOK MORE INTENSE AND DARK ON THE PHOTOS THAN IN REAL LIFE AND VICE VERSA 🔸 THIS IS DUE TO THE OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF THE MOISSANITE AND NOT AT ALL DUE TO A DEFECT OR SUBSTANDARD QUALITY GRADE OF THIS GEMSTONE.  So choose your moissanite color accordingly and contact me if you need assistance. Unfortunately, I cannot help much with this issue, because all videos and photos I take will have the same ‘color changing artifact’ as the listing images If they are taken under the same lighting conditions and viewed from the same angle. This "artifact" which is caused by the intrinsic property of this gemstone which for instance can make a moissanite appear extremely dark at a certain angle and when moved in a different lighting environment it would look much lighter as if it was a different stone. This artifact does not necessarily pertain to all moissanite gemstones or to every moissanite color. White moissanite does not appear to change its color regardless of the light angle. The best way to solve the problem is to send me a screenshot with the color of moissanite you want and allow me to select the best matching stone that looks like the photo. _______________________
