Natural fire opal ring made with a top quality white opal gemstone 8x6mm in size, which can have faceted or cabochon cut and be of AAA grade, which is standard quality for my opal jewelry offered at this shop, or of rare and impressive quality grade I refer to as AAAA.
The opals made with lower quality standard are sold via other channels and at a lower price.
There are also opal pendant and earrings that together make up a gorgeous set - a fantastic gift for someone‘ s anniversary or another meaningful and special event.
Rare opals are usually glowing with pin fire pattern, or having exceptionally intense flashes of rainbow colors over white base or blue glowing base color.
The ring is available in sizes 5,6,7,8and 9 most of the time.
Whenever you see “only one is available “ - it most likely pertains to an opal and not to the ring setting. I control inventory by manually relishing each item after making sure that I have everything I need to make it in stock. Later I still can run out and use up the gemstones for another item, but it still allows me a greater control over what I have available at any time instead of allowing automatic resisting of items.
✅ THE OPAL
🔹Origin: earth mined, 100% natural, solid, untreated, perfect gift of Mother Nature as it was born.
🔹 Shape and cut: oval faceted or oval cabochon.
🔹 Dimensions: 8x6mm
🔹 Weight: 0.7 -1.3 Ct approximately depending upon the cut (cabochon is always heavier)
🔹 Quality grade: AAA- AAAA see above for explanation
🔹Colors: rare opals in AAAA quality grade usually have glowing appearance with every single rainbow colors particularly blue or white reflective base - a lot of pink, orange shades.
Standard opals are high quality opals with moderate to extremely bright fire colors and a vibrant easily visible play of color (varies depending upon lighting and other factors- please read “the disclaimer” provided below that explains in detail why)
✅ THE SETTING
🔹Solid 925 sterling silver 4 prong semi mount ring setting with white gold or rhodium plated finish with light oxidation finish designed with Celtic inspired influence, and is based on one of the more traditional and recognizable ancient symbols: he Celtic Cross.
The ring is my original design as well as the pendant and the earrings, which all have unique vintage look, but is made with the advantages of the modern era, technology, which allows manufacturing of tarnish resistant sterling silver jewelry, which is plated with white gild or rhodium over the plain silver.
I have a long term goal of using only plated sterling silver settings, which require significantly lower to none maintenance of the jewelry, which looks highly polished, smooth and protects the silver from tarnishing and from micro damage, which dulls the metal’s surface over time due to tiny scratches from wearing the jewelry.
It is particularly important for natural opal jewelry to have a more resistant to tarnish metal, because opals cannot be exposed to any liquid including liquid chemical cleaners widely used as a “go to” tool to clean sterling silver jewelry.
The ring is lightly oxidized over the plated layer, which serves to highlight the details of the design and create a vintage aged appearance to any jewelry piece. This oxidation is permanent, and will not wear off over time. Some gemstones might look slightly darker in an “antiqued” style setting, and translucent opals usually lose a lot of their beauty in a darker ring setting, which becomes the opal’s natural base tone and alters the play of color significantly.
🔹The antiqued finish helps to highlight every detail of the band’s style, so that the ring looks simple, but very appealing to nearly everyone: those who love Celtic Jewelry and those who prefer classic or vintage style - my signature is simplicity and versatility, which can be achieved by a balanced design, which is not overly busy with details and unnecessary elements or made for a huge size gemstone, which also makes it very affordable.
It can be an excellent choice for an alternative style engagement ring or just a great gift for someone special.
🔹 The ring can be made with a cabochon cut opal - see photos or with a faceted oval opal - both cuts are in stock in superb quality grade and will not disappoint!
🔹Available in size 5,7,8 and 9 US scale.
Availability of the size or a stone in a desired combination of cut and quality grade is never guaranteed, because I work alone, and not always able to follow up on timely updates made to my listings, and can use a stone for another item at the moment when you are placing your order - I monitor the inventory by manually renewing all of the listings. Which is why you might see “only one is available “ warning under the listing in Etsy search.
It is technically correct, because the top AAAA quality grade opals are hard to find and they get used up quickly by means of using the same stone to make multiple pieces which fit the same center stone size.
🔹 PLEASE MEASURE YOUR SIZE PRIOR TO PURCHASING
Traditional resizing will remove all of the finishes I have just described, and I am sure you want this added benefit to drastically reduce the maintenance and improving durability of the jewelry.
This happens because white gold or rhodium plating is applied over a finished ring setting, which has a specific size already.
Of course you can proceed with resizing and you will be left with a plain silver finish, which is what is being sold outside of my shop elsewhere. Plain 925 sterling silver is susceptible to tarnish and much faster damage by micro scratches during wear and tear....
TO KEEP THE FINISH INTACT IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU MEASURE YOUR SIZE AT A JEWELRY STORE BY PROFESSIONALS - PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MEASURE YOUR RING SIZE YOURSELF. It will yield only an approximation, which might mean the difference in your decision to buy a specific size, which upon arriving will be either lose or tight.
I firmly made a decision to sacrifice the resizing capability (I do not resize rings at all) for the professional look of my jewelry line, which is manufactured by my partner in small wholesale batches after my original design and I reorder settings once in a couple of years. it is imperative that the correct size is ordered from the very beginning, because resizing the ring will remove the plating and leave only plain silver,
I feel that minimalizing the maintenance is essential for making the opal last much longer and make the ring appear brand new even years after wearing. This is hardly possible to achieve with plain sterling silver, and for this reason, I stick to mostly plated silver and expand my collection of beautiful and quality made settings slowly every year.

Opal jewelry is EXTREMELY FRAGILE and cannot come in touch with any liquid including water.
Please make sure you DO NOT EXPOSE YOUR OPAL JEWELRY TO WATER!
- Do not wash hands, take shower, do strenuous activity, run errands, clean the house or exercise with opals still on.
- Take off before bed and clean and buff the metal parts regularly to avoid using chemical cleaners.
- Micro paved Jewelry cannot be placed into an ultrasonic Jewelry cleaner due to the shaking, which might cause the tiny stones to fall out.
-Jewelry damaged due to not following the care instructions IS A FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER AND CANNOT BE RETURNED, EXCHANGED OR REIMBURSED.
-“care tips” card is provided with your order.
- YOUR JEWELRY WILL AND SHOULD LOOK DIFFERENT FROM THE LISTING PHOTOS EVEN IF THE PHOTOS ARE TAKEN OF THE ACTUAL OPAL
- The truth about this gemstone is that its uniqueness, its ever changing play of color, its brilliance, color intensity or fire pattern cannot be captured on a still image. A natural fire opal can look green on one photograph and red on the other with every subtle change in light angle or its intensity.
- There is a SIGNIFICANT amount of attenuation present when you look at an opal under natural daylight compared to its artificially exaggerated brilliance seen under the artificial indoor light;
- it is NORMAL for opals to change their appearance, so please keep this in mind that even the same opal NEVER LOOKS THE SAME!
I use only high quality precious metals and natural gemstones in creating my jewelry. The quality standard for this shop is set to be especially high.
I use my best quality stones for creating items offered at this shop, so each and every item is not only made to order but is typically made with perfect or nearly perfect gemstones, with excellent time consuming level of craftsmanship seen in each unique design.
▪️I do not use stock photos for a reason: I design everything myself, and take my own photos of the items upon completion of the item so you can be sure that the jewelry sold through this store is going to look exactly as pictured with the exception of gemstones, which are all unique and will never look the same.

The ring is absolutely gorgeous! My partner proposed to me with a black opal from this shop. I loved mine so much that I came back here to replace a scammy, low-quality ring from another seller. My partner now wears a white opal in the same cut & band as mine. Our rings look gorgeous together! You can only catch the rainbow in the black opal under certain lights, which I love, and the red hues Julia picked for us are always visible. The white opal is a rainbow of color "from alien worlds," as Julia put it! Sometimes we stop what we're doing to admire it. The quality of both rings is incredible. Julia is very kind, helpful, & communicative. She customized a facet cut into this band. She even rushed my order for V-Day since she'd been booked up when I reached out over the holidays. We'll post pictures sometime! Thank you, Julia!
